Bahía Solano Pacific Biodiversity Tour | Chocó, Colombia
Enjoy a full-day immersive adventure in Bahía Solano combining whale watching in the Pacific Ocean with a guided hike through the lush Chocó rainforest.
Experience a full day of adventure and discovery in the wild Pacific region of Bahía Solano, combining whale watching, marine wildlife observation, and a guided hike through the dense tropical rainforest of the Chocó jungle.
Accompanied by experienced biologists and research guides, you will venture into the Pacific Ocean in search of majestic humpback whales and other fascinating marine wildlife. During this 3 to 4-hour ocean safari, you may encounter dolphins, sea turtles, and coastal birds while learning about the region’s extraordinary biodiversity and conservation efforts.
One of the most unforgettable parts of the experience is listening to the whales through a hydrophone, allowing you to hear their powerful songs beneath the ocean surface. Throughout the tour, the guides will also collect research data while sharing their knowledge, passion, and insights about the wildlife and ecosystems of Colombia’s Pacific coast.
After the whale watching experience, we will head to the facilities of the Pacific Botanical Garden, where you will enjoy a delicious traditional lunch prepared with fresh local fish by talented local cooks from the community.
The adventure continues with a hike through the lush rainforest trails of the Chocó region, one of the most biodiverse ecosystems on Earth. Surrounded by dense jungle, tropical plants, exotic birds, and the sounds of nature, this immersive experience offers a genuine connection with the natural world.
At the end of the day, a boat will take you back to Mutis, our meeting point, leaving you with unforgettable memories of Colombia’s spectacular Pacific wilderness.
