Explore Bahía Solano: Jungle Trails & Amazing Wildlife

Immerse yourself in a paradise of ancient trees, lush palms, and carefully restored landscapes. Our expert guides will introduce you to the incredible biodiversity of the Chocó rainforest as you explore fascinating trails.

Step beyond the ordinary and into one of the most biodiverse regions on Earth. Hiking through the tropical rainforests of Chocó is not just a walk — it’s an expedition into a living, breathing wilderness where nature reigns supreme.

Follow winding jungle trails carved through dense emerald foliage, where towering ancient trees stretch high above the canopy and massive palms sway in the humid breeze. The air is thick with life — the calls of distant birds, the rustle of unseen creatures in the undergrowth, the constant rhythm of flowing streams hidden beneath layers of green.

As you trek deeper, the forest reveals its secrets. Giant roots twist across the trail like natural sculptures, orchids cling to moss-covered branches, and restored ecosystems stand as proof of conservation in action. Every step forward feels like entering untouched territory.

Our guided expeditions, led by experienced local experts and specialized biologists, transform each hike into a true exploration. Learn to identify medicinal plants, spot elusive wildlife, and understand the delicate balance that sustains one of the most important ecosystems on the planet.

This trail offers a rare opportunity to visit the nesting sites of two of the most powerful raptors in the Americas: the Crested Eagle (Morphnus guianensis), a stealthy predator of the canopy, and the Harpy Eagle (Harpia harpyja), known as the "Queen of the Jungle" for its immense strength and dominance over the rainforest. The journey is filled with wildlife encounters, from vibrant frogs to elusive reptiles and birds, making it a paradise for nature lovers and adventure seekers.

As you trek through the humid rainforest, expect warm temperatures, occasional rain showers, and muddy trails. Your guide will share fascinating insights into the region’s flora, fauna, and conservation efforts while leading you to a refreshing stop at Resaquita stream, where you can take a dip in its crystal-clear waters.
