Pico de Loro Adventure Hike – Ascend to One of the Highest Peaks in Cali!

A true sanctuary embraced by nature, where you can soak in breathtaking views from the summit.

Reaching 2,860 meters above sea level, this intermediate to high-difficulty trek is designed for hikers in good physical condition looking for a true Andean challenge.

The route climbs through the Western Andes, combining steep ascents, narrow mountain trails, muddy sections, exposed ridgelines, and rocky terrain, especially at higher elevations. Weather conditions can change quickly, adding to the challenge and requiring endurance, balance, and steady footing.

As you ascend, you’ll pass through four distinct ecosystems, ranging from montane forest to high-altitude vegetation, with opportunities to observe native flora, diverse birdlife, and dramatic mountain landscapes.

From the summit, hikers are rewarded with sweeping 360° panoramic views of the Farallones de Cali, the Cauca Valley, and surrounding mountain ranges. On clear days, visibility may extend far across the region, with the possibility of spotting the snow-capped Nevado del Huila in the distance.

This guided expedition, led by experienced local mountain guides, is ideal for adventure seekers, seasoned hikers, and nature lovers who want to push their limits and experience one of Valle del Cauca’s most rugged and rewarding peaks.
